What is Myotomy?

Myotomy is a surgical procedure used to treat muscle-related disorders in the gastrointestinal tract, most commonly **achalasia**—a condition in which the esophagus muscles fail to relax, causing swallowing difficulties.

Types of Myotomy We Perform:

• Heller's Myotomy: Laparoscopic procedure for esophageal achalasia
• Vaginal Myotomy: For obstructive gynecologic conditions
• Rectal/Anal Myotomy: For chronic constipation or anal sphincter spasm

Symptoms Treated:

• Difficulty swallowing (Dysphagia)
• Chest pain after eating
• Regurgitation of food
